Por eso, aprender a detectar las señales es el primer paso para proteger a los niños y niñas de situaciones que puedan dañar su integridad física, emocional o psicológica. Cambios bruscos en el comportamiento, miedo inexplicable a ciertas personas o lugares, retraimiento social y regresión a conductas infantiles (como mojar la cama) pueden ser indicios de que algo no está bien.

Una vez que se detecta una señal de alerta, es vital actuar con responsabilidad y empatía. No se trata de juzgar ni de acusar sin pruebas, sino de abrir espacios seguros para que el niño se exprese y, en caso necesario, buscar ayuda profesional. Docentes, cuidadores y familiares deben estar preparados para actuar, siguiendo protocolos de protección infantil, contactando a servicios sociales o instituciones especializadas que puedan intervenir de forma adecuada y oportuna.

Finalmente, el objetivo es proteger a la infancia. Esto implica no solo intervenir cuando hay sospechas de abuso, sino también crear entornos protectores donde los niños se sientan escuchados, valorados y respetados.
